What can I do with FireAnime, and does it cost anything?
You can find anime, watch available sources and keep a personal watchlist without a paid FireAnime subscription. Start in a phone or computer browser; an account adds personal features, while an installed app is useful for supported downloads or TV controls.
Covered in this guide: Website in a browser · FireAnime for Android · FireAnime Desktop · FireAnime TV · FireAnime for LG webOS
Start in a browser; an app is optional
Open FireAnime on your phone or computer. You do not need an account to search the catalog, read anime information or see which episodes are listed. Playback can ask you to complete a verification or sign in; follow the message shown in the player.
FireAnime does not require a paid subscription. Following an anime is also called a subscription here; it means release updates, not a payment plan. Independently developed apps can have their own store terms or paid options. Those do not add missing FireAnime episodes or languages.
Pick what you want to do first
| Your goal | Where to go | What to do there |
|---|---|---|
| Watch a title you already know | Search | Enter its name, open the matching title, choose a season and episode, then an available language/source. |
| Find something new | Discovery guide | Choose recent episodes, a popularity list or a genre depending on what you want. |
| Keep a list for later | Watchlist guide | Sign in and give a title a status such as Plan to watch or Watching. This does not download episodes. |
| Hear about new episodes | Anime subscriptions | Follow a title and select the release languages you want in your inbox. |
| Continue on another device | Progress across devices | Use the same FireAnime account in supported clients; guest progress is not an account backup. |
| Watch without internet | Download options | Choose a client with offline support and save episodes before leaving your connection. The website has no offline library. |
| Watch with friends | Watch Together | Use the website's integrated player and create or join a room. Not every external player can join. |
For your first episode:
- Open Search, enter an anime name and choose the matching result.
- Open the season and episode you want. If you see several versions, use Sub/Dub explained to choose the right audio and subtitles.
- Select an offered source and start playback. The first-playback guide explains the controls and resume choices.
- Want to keep your personal list and use account features? Create an account and save the password securely; there is no email password-reset flow.
What changes when you create an account?
An account gives your personal features a shared identity: your watchlist, supported progress updates, followed releases and community contributions belong to that account. A second account is a different library, even on the same device. Use the same account when moving between your phone and computer.
You can continue using the website after registering. Installing an app is not the next mandatory step. Choose the app for your device only if you need its interface or features.
Why can a listed anime still be unavailable?
The anime information, episode listing and playable source are separate things. A title can have a description before an episode has a working stream, and one language can arrive before another. A finished series status does not promise every source is currently reachable.
If an episode is listed but does not start, follow playback troubleshooting. If the episode itself has not appeared, check the calendar and follow the title for release updates. Neither a new account nor another installation package creates a missing source.
