Which apps support downloads and offline playback?

Use the official Android app or FireAnime Desktop on Windows/Linux for an offline library; desktop also queues whole seasons. On iPhone/iPad, use the documented Streamyfin route. The website, official Android TV app and supported Swiftfin setup do not provide offline downloads.

What counts as a download?

A download is a video saved inside an app on this device. A watchlist saves your choice of anime; Continue Watching saves playback progress. Neither stores the episode for travel.

You need an internet connection and free storage while saving. After that, test the completed file in the app's offline library before depending on it.

  1. Find the app you actually have installed, not just the manufacturer of your screen.
  2. Follow its linked guide and download one episode first.
  3. Open it from the offline library, disconnect the network and verify picture, sound and language.
  4. Only then queue more episodes. Check free storage between batches.

What should I have afterwards?

A completed, locally playable episode in the same app/device. Once you have it, use the offline library guide to find it again.

What download support does not promise

Not every online source can be downloaded successfully. A finished download on Android does not appear automatically on Windows, and account synchronization does not upload your video files.

Jellyfin-compatible apps are not interchangeable. A download feature in another client, such as Findroid, is not proof that the same controls or every FireAnime source work identically. Use that client's current instructions and test a single file.

Casting and a streaming TV session do not create an offline copy. If your chosen device has no documented offline route, use a supported phone, tablet or computer rather than searching for a hidden website button.
