Where do I find and play downloaded episodes?
Open Downloads in the same app and on the same device where you saved the episodes. Completed episodes are grouped by anime; a watchlist or the normal online player is not your offline library.
Covered in this guide: FireAnime for Android · FireAnime Desktop — Android phone / tablet · Windows / Linux
Use the app that saved the video
Open the same app on the same device where the download completed. Signing into the same account on another device brings account features, not the video files. The website's watchlist and Continue Watching are not an offline library.
If you use Streamyfin on iPhone/iPad, use the iOS offline guide; the following controls belong to the official Android and desktop apps.
Open and play a saved episode
Android phone or tablet
- Tap Downloads, the down-arrow-in-a-circle in the top navigation beside search.
- The page title is Offline library. Current downloads contains unfinished or failed tasks; the anime cards represent titles with completed episodes.
- Tap the anime card. Find the season and an episode labelled Ready to watch.
- Tap that episode to open Offline playback. Episodes still waiting or downloading cannot be opened as completed videos.
- In offline playback, Previous and Next navigate among downloaded episodes. They cannot fetch an unsaved episode without internet.
Windows or Linux desktop
- Select Downloads under Your library in the left sidebar.
- Look under Ready offline, not only Download activity.
- Open an anime card, select its Season tab and find a
completedepisode. - Select the episode's triangle Play control. The desktop interface uses English labels.
Test before you travel
While still able to reconnect, disconnect Wi-Fi/mobile data and open the episode through the library again. Play a short section and check the expected language and sound. Reconnect after the test. An anime card with “1 episode” does not mean the whole season has been saved.
Why is my download missing or unplayable?
- No downloaded episodes / No completed downloads yet: Nothing has finished in this app on this device. Check queue status; a watchlist entry is not a saved file.
- The anime appears, but one episode is absent: Check its season and whether the individual task is still waiting or failed. Complete or retry that task.
- The library cannot be read: Choose Try again on the error screen first. Do not clear app data to try to repair your only offline copies.
- The video file is no longer on your device: A remaining library entry cannot restore it. If the episode is still available online, remove the broken entry and download it again.
- Only the normal player fails without internet: Return to the offline library. Opening an online catalog page is not the same as opening a local video.
Keep local files in place. Uninstalling, clearing app storage or external storage-cleanup tools can remove them.
