How do I start Watch Together and invite friends?
To watch anime together online, sign in on the FireAnime website, open an episode that plays and select **Watch Together**. Send the room's **Copy invite** link to your friends; each friend opens it and signs in with their own account. The host chooses the episode and controls play, pause and seeking, while everyone loads their own available stream.

What everyone needs
Use the FireAnime website in a browser. Each person needs a FireAnime account, an internet connection and an available stream for the episode. Create an account or learn to start an episode first if needed.
Watch Together uses the website's own player and does not broadcast the host's screen. Each person loads their own video, so everyone should check that the episode plays for them. These steps do not apply to the native TV app, Streamyfin, Swiftfin or another external player.
Create a room and invite friends
- Sign in, open the anime and the exact season/episode you want to watch. Confirm that the video plays before inviting anyone.
- Under the player, select Watch Together, the group icon beside Share. On narrow screens the icon may appear without the full text.
- FireAnime creates the room and may switch to its own website player. Check the language afterward. If the required player is unavailable, use the error guidance below.
- Find the room panel below the player. It shows the episode, connection state and Members. You should be marked Host.
- Select Copy invite in Invite link and send that URL to your friends. Send the room invitation, not the ordinary Share link or your credentials.
- Wait until your friends appear in Members. Use Chat to agree that everyone is ready, then start playback as the host.
If a room is already active, pressing the Watch Together/group button copies its invitation instead of creating a second room.
Join an invitation
- Open the invitation in your browser. Sign in with your own FireAnime account if requested.
- Let the page join the room and open its current episode.
- Check that the correct episode opened and choose a stream that plays. Your stream can differ from the host's, but using the same version can reduce timing differences.
- If the browser requires a click before media can play, press Play. Check the room’s status and select Sync if your video needs to catch up.
What should happen?
Everyone appears in the same member list. When the host plays, pauses or seeks, members follow that shared state. Use room controls for host transfer, episode changes and ending the session.
If you cannot start or join
- You are sent to sign-in: use a personal FireAnime account, then reopen the invitation if necessary.
- “Watch Together requires the integrated Proxy Player.”: choose a stream labelled ProxyPlayer, CookieStream or ProxyPlayerSlow on the website, then try again.
- The room exists but the video is black: first fix your own playback source. A working chat connection does not mean your video loaded.
- The invitation says the room is closed, expired or not found: ask the host for a current invitation. Connection and timing troubleshooting covers the next checks.
Keep room invitations within your intended group; anyone receiving a valid invitation may try to join.
