How do I install FireAnime on Android?

Download the official Android APK from the FireAnime app page and open it on your Android phone or tablet. You may need to allow the browser or file manager to install apps from that source.

Get the phone/tablet app, not the TV package

This guide is for an Android phone or tablet. An APK is an Android installation file; it is not an iPhone app. For a television or streaming stick use FireAnime TV; for Apple devices use iPhone/iPad setup.

You need enough storage for the app, an internet connection and permission to install apps on the device. A work, school or family-managed device may block installation; respect those restrictions.

Download and install

  1. On the Android device, open the official Android download section.
  2. Under Android, choose Direct APK Download. Wait for the browser download to finish.
  3. Open your browser's Downloads list or the completed-download notification and tap the APK. Do not just keep tapping the download button on the website.
  4. If Android says this source is not allowed to install apps, choose the offered Settings action. Enable Allow from this source / Install unknown apps for the browser or file manager that opened this APK. Manufacturer wording varies.
  5. Return to the installer and choose Install, then Open. Check that the package came from the FireAnime page; do not ignore an unexplained signature or harmful-app warning.
  6. After installation, turn off that source's installation permission again if you do not need it.

You are granting an installation permission to one app, not turning off Android security for the whole device.

What to do on first launch

FireAnime appears in your app list and opens its catalog. Use Search, open an anime, choose a season and episode, and check the language under Playback source. Continue with your first episode.

Sign in for your personal library. For offline viewing, the next task is downloading an episode—installing the APK has not saved any videos.

If installation stops

  • You cannot find the file: Check the browser's Downloads list. If it is still transferring or failed, finish or retry that browser download before opening it.
  • The package cannot be parsed or opened: Confirm it is the phone APK from the linked page and download a fresh copy. Check your Android version against the current download requirements; do not rename an incompatible file.
  • App not installed / conflicting package / signature warning: Do not immediately uninstall the existing app. First verify the package and source; uninstalling can remove local files. If it still conflicts, contact support with your Android and installed-app versions and the exact message.
  • You already have the app: In Settings → App, choose Check for updates. See updating safely rather than reinstalling from scratch.
