How do I skip an intro, ending or recap?

In a supported integrated player, Skip intro, Skip ending or Skip recap appears while the video is inside a known segment. Select it to jump to that segment’s end. The button is not always present, and the website’s skip button does not enable automatic skipping for every episode.

Covered in this guide: Website in a browser · FireAnime for Android · FireAnime Desktop

When can the button appear?

Use the integrated website player, official Android mobile app or Desktop player. Choose an integrated source if you are currently watching inside another provider’s embedded interface.

A skip button needs timing data for this episode and version of the video. It only appears during the marked segment, not throughout the episode. A recap, intro and ending are separate segments; having one does not mean all three are available.

Skip a segment

  1. Start the episode and let the video load its duration.
  2. During an opening, recap or ending, look for Skip intro, Skip recap or Skip ending over the video. On Android mobile, the labels follow the app language.
  3. Select the button once. The player jumps to the end of that segment; check that the story has resumed.
  4. If you went too far, use the timeline or seek-back control to return to the missing scene. You do not need to restart the whole episode.

On the website, colored ranges on the timeline also identify available segments. The website and Desktop buttons currently use English labels, even with a German interface.

No button, or the wrong jump?

What you seeWhat to do
No button at the start of the episodeWait until the actual intro/recap begins. Some episodes start with a story scene before the opening.
No button anywhere in the introReveal the controls and check that you are using the integrated player. If you are, use the timeline: this episode may not have matching markers.
A button appears on one source but not anotherCheck the video’s total duration. Different cuts can have different timing, so another source is not proof the button should appear here.
The jump removes dialogue or leaves part of the introSeek back, note the actual start/end times and report the incorrect segment. Avoid repeatedly using the same incorrect marker.
You wanted every intro skipped automaticallyThis button is a manual skip action. Do not confuse it with autoplaying the next episode.

What should happen?

The episode continues immediately after the marked segment. You remain in the same episode and source; skipping an ending is not itself a command to open the next episode.

Report timing without guessing

Use support and include the anime title, season, episode, source/provider, language, the video’s total duration and the approximate correct start/end times, for example “intro starts 01:32, ends 03:02.” Say whether the button was missing or appeared but jumped incorrectly.

A missing marker is not automatically a broken player. Do not reinstall or clear your history just to make it appear. For general seek controls, see player controls; for a video that will not load at all, use playback troubleshooting.
