How do seasons, movies, specials and AniList groups differ?
Use Seasons when you know the episode's season number, or By Series / Arc when you know a particular arc, movie or catalog part. Groups can cover only part of a season and are not a guaranteed watch order; a film or special may also be a separate search result.

Three ways the same anime can be organised
These steps describe the website. You do not need to link an AniList account to browse a group.

A group can contain only part of a season. Its first episode may correspond to a later episode number in the main title. Neither group order nor release year is a guaranteed spoiler-free watch order.
Find the part you actually want
- Search for the anime and open its title page. Check the title and year so you do not confuse a remake with the original.
- For an ordinary season, go to Seasons, choose the season number and select the episode under Episodes.
- For a named arc or separate catalog part, find By Series / Arc and choose Open if it is collapsed. Longer lists offer Search arc…; type the arc's title there.
- Open the matching group. Read its title, year, format and episode count before choosing an episode. A single-episode movie group may show a direct movie action instead of a grid.
- If you cannot find the film or special, return to Search and search its own name. Use Filters → Format → Movie or Special if appropriate; the filter guide explains how to remove that filter afterwards.
Example: a franchise may count an arc's episodes within its overall season, while AniList treats that arc as a separate title starting at episode 1. Check the named group and episode listing, rather than treating the two numbers as interchangeable.
Check the title before you press play
You should now be on the intended season or group, with an episode list that belongs to that part. If you opened the wrong group, use the parent anime title link to return to the overview and choose again. Opening a group does not by itself mark episodes watched or link your account to AniList.
When you reach the episode, use the playback guide to choose an available language and source.
Missing groups and external progress differences
- No By Series / Arc section: groups are not present for every title. Try the normal season list or search the separate title.
- No arcs found while searching: clear Search arc… first; that search only filters groups within the current anime.
- Episode exists in Seasons but not in a group: the group mapping may be incomplete. You can still try the main season entry; report the missing association with the title and both episode references.
- AniList/MAL progress differs: a mapping determines which external title and episode are updated. Missing or non-contiguous mappings can limit updates. Read tracking progress rules; do not mark unrelated episodes watched just to make the counts match.
- Film or special has no source: finding its catalog entry does not create an available video. Use playback troubleshooting if an offered source fails.
