How do I sign out or switch accounts on desktop?

Sign out from the website's Account page, Android's Account screen or the desktop account menu. Desktop's same menu switches saved users or adds a login; switching does not remove other saved accounts, and sign-out does not delete your account or downloaded videos.

Covered in this guide: Website in a browser · FireAnime for Android · FireAnime Desktop · FireAnime TV · FireAnime for LG webOS

Choose the action you actually need

Switch accounts to use another saved desktop account. Sign out to remove the current client's access. Revoke a paired device to stop a TV/computer you approved by code. None of these is account deletion.

Check your username and save your password before leaving your last session. On a shared device, account switching alone leaves the other saved accounts available.

Sign out or switch on your device

Website

  1. Open Account.
  2. Select Logout in the account header.
  3. Open Account again and confirm that it asks you to sign in. This signs out the current browser context, not every device.

Official Android app

  1. Open Account and scroll to Sign out.
  2. Read the confirmation: downloaded episodes remain on this device.
  3. Confirm Sign out. If the device is being handed to someone else, delete unwanted downloads separately.

FireAnime Desktop on Windows or Linux

  1. Open the account/avatar menu at the bottom of the left sidebar. Its labels are currently English.
  2. To switch, select another listed username. A checkmark identifies the active account; verify the changed username before watching or changing a list.
  3. To add a login, select Add Account and complete sign-in. This does not create a new FireAnime account; registration is separate.
  4. To remove a saved account from this app, first select that account, reopen the menu and choose Sign Out. Repeat for each account you want removed.

Check the account that remains

The website/Android app returns to signed-out access; desktop removes the selected account from its saved accounts. If other desktop accounts remain, check which is now active. Seeing an anime homepage alone does not prove all accounts have been removed.

Do not confuse sign-out with a reset

  • Closing an app or a browser tab does not sign out.
  • TV or compatible-client sessions are separate. Sign out in that client, or use paired-device revocation when the official code-based session is listed.
  • Desktop Clear all local data is broader: it signs out all saved accounts, resets the server and app settings, and clears local playback progress; diagnostic logs are kept. Do not use it merely to switch users.
  • Local videos are not reliably erased by signing out or revoking a session. Use download deletion for files and the account-data process for account erasure.
