I forgot my password. How can I recover my account?

Keep any working session open: a signed-in browser or official Android app can set a new password under Security. Without saved credentials or a usable session there is no automatic email reset, and support cannot guarantee recovery.

No automatic email password reset

Covered in this guide: Website in a browser

First: keep any working session open

Do not sign out, uninstall the app or clear browser/app data while checking recovery options. A device that is still signed in may be your only way to set a new password. The website does not collect an email address at registration, so waiting for a reset email will not help.

Choose the situation that matches yours

  1. Check your password manager or browser's saved passwords for fireani.me and your FireAnime username. Use saved credentials on Log in if available.
  2. Check a browser and any official Android app you previously used. Open the account area: seeing your account is useful; merely seeing the homepage does not prove you are signed in.
  3. A browser still opens your account: open Security in that same browser. Enter New password and select Reset password. This signed-in form does not ask you to recover access by email.
  4. The official Android app is still signed in: open Account → Security, enter New password and Confirm new password, then select Change password. Follow the password-change instructions and keep the session until the change succeeds.
  5. No usable session or saved password remains: open Contact. Explain that you cannot sign in, give your username and say whether any device still has access. Never send passwords, QR codes or active sign-in links.

Check access before leaving the old session

After a successful password change, save the new password and test it in a separate browser/private window at Log in. Keep the original session open until that test works. You can then review paired devices.

What recovery cannot do

  • A QR code needs approval from an authorized account. It is not a way around a forgotten password when every session is gone.
  • Support may need to establish account ownership; contacting support does not guarantee recovery.
  • A new account has a separate library and history. Do not create one expecting it to restore or merge the inaccessible account.
  • If the password is known but login still fails, use login troubleshooting instead of changing passwords repeatedly.
