How do I edit my profile, Top 5 and visibility?
Open Profile to choose an avatar/banner, write your bio, order up to five favourite anime and save your changes. Set profile, watchlist, statistics and linked-account visibility separately, then check the public link while signed out.

What changes here, and what does not?
Profile settings edit how other people see your FireAnime profile. You need to be signed in. This does not change your account password, the whole site's theme or the anime in your watchlist; those have separate controls.
You can keep using your own lists and statistics while hiding them from profile visitors. Hiding them does not erase the stored data.
Edit your appearance and Top 5
- Open Account → Profile.
- Under Profile Visuals, select Change on the avatar or Change Banner to choose an image from your device. Use the preview to check the crop; the banner suggests 1920x400. Avoid putting personal contact details in public images.
- Edit About Me and Accent Color. The accent affects profile elements such as buttons, links and the activity heatmap; it is not the website's global theme.
- Under Top 5 Animes, enter at least two characters in Search for animes to add… and select a result. Add up to five and drag their rows to order them. Remove a selected title before adding a sixth.
- Set the visibility controls described below, then select Save Changes or Save Now in the unsaved-changes bar. Wait until uploading/saving finishes.
Choose what visitors can see
Profile Visibility has separate Public / Private controls for Profile Info, Watchlist and Watch Stats. Set each intentionally; a color change or removed banner does not make a profile private.
Under Verified list accounts, each linked AniList/MyAnimeList identity has its own Show … on my profile switch. Connections stay private until you enable visibility. This switch saves the connection's visibility separately; it does not connect or disconnect tracking. Use Tracking sync for that.
Check your saved public view
Wait for Profile updated successfully!, then select View public profile. Also open that public link in a signed-out/private browser window: your own signed-in view can show data that visitors cannot see. Return to settings if the public result differs from what you intended.
If a change does not appear
- Unsaved Changes: the preview is not proof of a saved update. Select Save Now and wait for completion.
- Upload or save error: keep the page open, check the connection and retry. Do not assume an upload percentage alone saved the entire form.
- Top 5 is full: remove one selected anime, then add the replacement. This does not remove it from your watchlist.
- Your own private statistics remain visible: that is expected for the account owner. Test as a visitor.
- Need a data copy or account erasure? Use the account-data request, not a visibility switch.
