Tracking is stuck. When should I use catch-up, reconnect or disconnect?

Read the provider card in Tracking sync first: Queue catch-up sends eligible older progress, Reconnect account renews requested authorization, and Disconnect stops the connection. None of these actions bypasses rollout restrictions, a delivery pause or missing episode matches.

Tracking links: restricted rollout, outbound only

Covered in this guide: Website in a browser — Browser

Start with the provider card, not Disconnect

Open Account → Settings → Tracking sync and check that the displayed provider username is yours. Read the notice, connection badge, Waiting, Failed and any error text before choosing an action. These controls are currently English in both website languages.

Local FireAnime watch progress and delivery to a provider are separate: a delayed external update does not by itself mean your FireAnime history is lost.

Match the action to what you see

What you seeWhat to do
Access restricted or UnavailableRead the access notice. A different password or repeated reconnects cannot grant rollout access.
Outbound delivery is pausedKeep using local progress and wait for delivery to resume. Reconnecting cannot unpause delivery.
Connected, but older completed episodes are missingChoose Queue catch-up once, then wait and refresh the page to review the counts.
reauthorization requiredChoose Reconnect account and approve the correct provider identity in its popup.
Waiting is above zeroDelivery is queued. Check the notice and allow time for provider limits/retries rather than queueing repeatedly.
Failed or an error remainsRecord the displayed message and check the episode's completion and mapping rules. Contact support if the problem persists.

Queue older progress

  1. On the connected provider card, select Queue catch-up.
  2. Wait for the message stating how many progress targets were queued.
  3. Reload the page after allowing delivery time and compare the correct title at the provider. A queued count is not proof of completed delivery.
  4. If nothing changes, check for an unfinished earlier episode, missing mapping or provider progress already ahead.

Renew authorization

  1. Select Reconnect account when reauthorization is requested.
  2. Allow the popup and check the signed-in provider username before approving.
  3. Keep the original FireAnime tab open until the card returns to Connected. Follow connection troubleshooting if the popup fails.

Stop tracking deliberately

  1. Select Disconnect on the provider you want to stop.
  2. Read the confirmation that queued outbound updates for this account will be removed.
  3. Confirm only if that is your intention, then wait for the disconnected message and the unconnected provider card.

Disconnecting removes stored authorization and prevents queued delivery. It does not erase your FireAnime watch history, delete the provider account or reverse updates already sent.

What success looks like

Catch-up reports queued targets; completed delivery is confirmed by the provider's resulting progress. Reconnect restores a valid connection. Disconnect removes that connection. These are three different outcomes, so do not use them interchangeably.

When to ask for help

Neither catch-up nor reconnect imports an external list or repairs missing episode matches. For a persistent error, contact support with the provider, visible error, approximate time, FireAnime title/episode link and provider title link. Never include popup URLs, access tokens or passwords. Do not repeatedly disconnect/reconnect a working identity just to force a higher episode count.
