Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Monogatari Series Anime Collab for Short Anime Puella Magi Yotsugi☆Peace

The upcoming Puella Magi Madoka Magica -Walpurgisnacht Rising- anime movie releases in Japan on August 28, but before the release, fans can enjoy a new crossover spinoff with Nisio Isin's ***Monogatari ***series! The 12-episode short series, titled Puella Magi Yotsugi☆Peace, starts today and will run for a total of four days.The episodes, penned by Nisio Isin, features Yotsugi Ononoki as a magical girl. This is not the first time Monogatari in general, and Yotsugi in particular, has appeared in the Madoka Magica universe. The Magia Record game's "Madogatari" event featured multiple Monogatari series girls as magical girls, and Magia Exedra added Yotsugi to its roster as a playable character earlier this year.The first three episodes of the short series are now available on the Aniplex YouTube channel, and the rest will be released three at a time on consecutive days.

All the staff from Rebellion return to SHAFT for the -Walpurgisnacht Rising-** **movie; with Akiyuki Shimbo as the chief director, Yukihiro Miyamoto directing the film, Nitroplus's Gen Urobuchi writing the script, aokiume designing the characters with Junichiro Taniguchi taking those designs and making them fit for animation. Yuki Kajiura is the composer on the film, and Gekidan Inu Curry returns to design the Witches' Spaces.
